Summer Tea Party with Yukata Fashion at Galleri Åkern in Kongsberg
On 3. June, this year’s Japan-Norway Culture Day in Kongsberg will take place!
Time: Saturday 3. June, at 2 to 7 p.m. Entrance fee: NOK 200.
Program:
“Welcoming speeches by the mayor of Kongsberg city, Kari-anne Sand, and the culture attache at the Japanese Embassy, Ryoko Tsuchiyama.”
Traditional Tea Ceremony in the Ungetsuan teahut for 8 guests ( NOK 200 per guest)
Japanese tea and sweets in the gallery (free).
Exhibition: A photo exhibition: “Greetings from Kamakura” by Ellen Hegtun and Haruko Inoue will be displayed in the gallery.
Concert: Puccini’s “Crisantemi”: String quartet from Den Norske Opera orchestra led by Yukiko Mikami, plus Liv Randi Aas from Kongsberg.
Koto improvisations: Svein Westad.
Tanko-bushi folk dance to live music, in the garden (or in the gallery if rain) Please bring yukata or similar Japanese dress, and umbrella if you have one!
A few Yukata and Happi’s will be awailable for renting in the gallery.
