The Japan-Norway Society will introduce Japanese tea and sweets in collaboration with Palais des Thes and Japanese sweets project ‘Sumiya’, Wagashi maker Ms. Rie Nonaka.
Palais des Thes will introduce Kukicha, Genmaicha, Japanese black tea, gyokuro and sencha and Rie Nonaka will make Botamochi, Mitarashi-dango, Ankodama, Japanese jelly and more. Tea sommeliers and Rie Nonaka will combine Japanese teas with Japanese sweets to make pairings that bring out the flavors of the teas and the sweets.
At the beginning we will have a small introduction of Japanese tea and sweets by the tea sommeliers of Palais des Thes and Rie Nonaka, and then we’ll start the paring of Japanese tea and sweets.
Let’s enjoy Japanese tea and sweets tasting and paring together!
All participants will get a 15% discount in the tea shop after the tasting (does not include books), and Rie Nonaka will be selling sweets after the tasting (payment via vipps or cash).
